Video Can Help Your Comms Budget Go Further

When your company has around 10,000 employees working in 5 continents, keeping everyone up to date about initiatives across the business in a way that is engaging as well as informative is a tough ask.
But that is exactly what we have been doing to help international industrial minerals giant Sibelco deliver key messages simultaneously and consistently to their global team. Our work for both Sibelco Europe and Sibelco Group has so far taken us from deepest Exmoor to the peaks of the Italian Maritime Alps via Amsterdam and the company’s Antwerp HQ. It shows how using video to deliver communications to a widespread audience is high in impact, cost effective and fast.
The latest camera and lighting technology means that a two-man crew of producer/director and camera operator can be despatched just about anywhere in the world at short notice and return with beautiful footage that’s ready to edit.  The 4K camera, monitor, sound recording gear, batteries, SD cards, laptop, archive drive, tripod, LED lights and stands - everything we need fits into a standard holdall and on-board rucksack. Pack carefully and we don’t even exceed Easyjet’s standard 20Kg hold allowance – not bad for a film crew.
Once on location we can be ready to shoot in no time at all and all those lightweight new items of kit make negotiating both hire car boots and hotel lifts a lot easier.  Back at base we use ftp or secure video hosting platforms to share edit files which can then be watched anywhere in the world. Once everything’s approved we can create a stylish, branded password-protected WordPress site, scaleable for viewing on tablets and smartphones to both host the video and provide analytics on who has been watching, when and where.
It’s a smarter way to work. And it means that more businesses like Sibelco are incorporating video into their communications strategy knowing it will help give their people precisely the information they need when they need it and in a form that both reflects and enhances their brand personality.

"Video projects can often seem daunting but Veracity made the whole process easy. Andy and the team built an instant rapport with our senior leaders and this helped them to relax and show their true personalities through the videos. We’re delighted with the results and the positive feedback received from people at all levels in the business.”
