Peel is one of the UK’s leading property and regeneration companies. We have been fortunate to work with them to document the development of Liverpool 2, the new deep water container terminal over 4 years of construction. Our latest project was very different. To capture the scope of Peel’s work across the north west region – from the mouth of the Mersey to the Pennines. To introduce the film we interviewed Peel Chairman and founder John Whittaker, who gave a fascinating insight into the determination, perseverance and patience that have enabled Peel to gradually transform the landscape of the north west, embracing vibrant mixed use dockside developments, transport hubs, wind farms, logistics centres, RHS gardens and of course Manchester’s Trafford Centre, where it all really began. This is the opening of the film which was almost entirely shot using drone technology and reflects a view of the Mersey and Manchester Ship Canal corridor that is one of vision, opportunity and scope for sustainable economic growth.
“It’s excellent, the video has come together well and really does encapsulate the Ocean Gateway 505050.”
